This poster, created as an academic warm-up exercise, is based on airline travel of the late 1950s. Known as the Jet Age, this period in aviation was marked by the introduction of the turbine engine to the commercial airline fleet. This period was immensely important because it brought about social change through reducing the duration of trans-oceanic flights and allowing people of different cultures to socialize with less effort.
