Identity & Promotion for Museum
Museum Identity & Promotion
The Museum of Jurassic Technology located in Los Angeles is an exhibit space dedicated to outmoded forms of technology and science. The exhibits show that our history has produced indicators, subtle and overt, of future advancements. As an example: victorian stereoscopic viewers may have formed the basis for 3D headgear today. The museum is a wonder to visit, however its current branding and identity is uninspired and drab.
Design Methodology: Combining two distinct visual forms, this identity takes inspiration from Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and applies its aesthetics to that of a moth. While the moth forever seeks the flame and thus symbolizes faith and the search for truth, the Virtuvian Man attempts to understand nature through the reasoning of science.
