NHRA Division Logo Refresh

The National Hot Rod Association consists of seven regional divisions. Competitors participate in regional events and champions go on to complete in national events.

The logos in use to identify each region were in need of a facelift and one was even considered to be socially-insensitive by displaying a confederate flag as a part of its identity. This project was to give a facelift to the division logos and create a new identity for one division. Elements of the original emblems were incorporated into the new versions, for example: South Central’s cowboy, North Central’s crown, and the N.E.D. lettered flag from the Northeast Division.

Once finalized, several versions were produced to be used in specific medias:

  • full-color (CMYK Process & RGB Version)
  • full-color (Embroidery, No Gradients)
  • Two Color (Brand Spot)
  • One Color & Black (Newsprint)
  • One Color (Full Tone)
  • One Color (Special Use: Foil, Varnish, etc.)
